Police Charge Man With Drug Offences - Riverina

A man has been charged with drug offences in the state's south.

About 9.20pm on Friday 4 April 2025, police sighted a car with Victorian number plates parked in a car park at the intersection of Copland Street and Kooringal Road, East Wagga Wagga.

Officers spoke to the driver and subjected him to a search, where they allegedly found drugs and close to $500 cash.

The 39-year-old male was arrested.

His vehicle was searched, police allegedly seized cocaine with an estimated street value of $12,900 and methamphetamine with a street value of $3,500.

The man was taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station and charged with two counts of supply prohibited drug > indictable < commercial quantity and deal with proceeds of crime< $100000.

He was refused bail and appeared in Wagga Wagga Local Court on Saturday 5 April 2025, where he was formally refused bail to appear at the same court on Wednesday 9 April 2025.
