Police Charge Man With Drug Supply At Broken Hill

A man will face court charged following an investigation into drug supply in the state's far west.

About 1pm yesterday (Tuesday 6 August 2024), police executed a search warrant at a home on Wilson Street, Broken Hill, following investigations into drug supply.

Police located and seized, cannabis plants, cannabis resin, drug paraphernalia, 300 MDMA tablets, psilocybin, cash, a gel blaster, and a hydroponic setup.

A 29-year-old man was arrested and taken to Broken Hill Police Station and charged with;

  • Supply prohibited drug over indictable and under commercial quantity (three counts)
  • Supply prohibited drug over small and under indictable quantity
  • Supply prohibited drug over commercial quantity (two counts)
  • Possess unauthorised pistol
  • Cultivate prohibited plant over small and under indictable quantity, and
  • Knowingly deal with proceeds of crime.

He was refused bail to appear at Wentworth Local Court today (Wednesday 7 August 2024).
