A man has been charged after allegedly threatening another person with a firearm in Sydney's north west.
About 5pm yesterday (Tuesday 26 November 2024), officers attached to Blacktown Police Area Command attended a home on Winifred Crescent, Blacktown, following reports of a neighbour dispute.
Upon arrival, officers were told two men – aged 53 and 60, had a verbal argument where the 53-year-old allegedly pulled out a firearm, threatening the other.
There were no reports of injury.
It is believed the two men are known to each other.
Following inquiries, a search of a home at the location was conducted by police, where they located and seized boxes of ammunition, a pistol holder and two "Gel Blaster" style pistols.
The 53-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Blacktown Police Station.
He was charged with use etc offensive weapon with intent to commit indictable offence, stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (personal), possess ammunition w/o holding licence/permit/authority, and possess unauthorised firearm.
He was refused bail to appear before Blacktown Local Court today (Wednesday 27 November 2024).
