Police have charged a man with high range drink driving after he was detected driving with a blood alcohol reading of 0.180% in Smithton.
At around 5pm last Thursday police responded to a report regarding the manner of the man's driving on Nelson Street, Smithton.
The 32-year-old man from Smithton underwent a breath analysis test at the Smithton Police Station and returned a reading of 0.180%. Due to the extreme reading given by the man, he was issued an immediate disqualification from driving for 24 months and bailed to appear in court at a later date.
