A man has been charged with high-range drink-driving after a crash is Sydney's south yesterday.
Just after 7.40pm (Tuesday 30 November 2021), emergency services were called to the Princes Highway, Wolli Creek, following reports of a crash.
Upon arrival, police observed a white Holden Rodeo Utility and a white Toyota Hilux had crashed near the intersection of Gertrude Street.
The driver of the Holden – a 69-year-old man – participated in a roadside breath test, returning a positive result.
He was arrested and taken to Kogarah Police Station where a subsequent breath analysis reading allegedly returned a result of 0.252.
The man was conveyed to St George Hospital for treatment and observation.
The driver of the Toyota – a 22-year-old man – was also taken to St George Hospital for treatment to a head laceration.
Upon release from hospital, the man was issued a Court Attendance Notice for drive with high range prescribed concentration of alcohol, and drive whilst unlicenced.
He is due to appear at Sutherland Local Court on Tuesday 14 December 2021.
