A man has been charged with manslaughter, following the death of a woman in the Illawarra in 2022.
About 12:05pm on Monday 13 June 2022, emergency services were called to a unit on Old Lake Entrance Road, Oak Flats, following reports of a woman unresponsive.
NSW Ambulance responded; however the woman died at the scene.
Detectives attached to Lake Illawarra Police District responded and established a crime scene.
Following investigations, about 6.10pm on Wednesday 4 December 2024, police attended a home in Pioneer Drive, Oak Flats.
A 28-year-old male was arrested at the home and taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station where he was charged with manslaughter.
He appeared in Wollongong Local Court yesterday (Thursday 5 December 2024) and granted conditional bail to reappear in the same court on Wednesday 29 January 2024.
