Police Charge Man With Possessing Child Abuse And Bestiality Material At Millthorpe

A man will face court over the alleged child abuse and bestiality related offences in the state's Central West.

In March 2025, officers attached to Chifley Police District commenced an investigation into the alleged possession of child abuse and bestiality material by a 51-year-old man.

About 9.20am on Friday 11 April 2025, officers attached to Chifley Police District executed a search warrant at a home in Millthorpe.

During the search of the home, police located and seized a rifle, mobile phones, laptops, and external storage devices for forensic examination.

The man's firearms licence was suspended.

About 9am on Saturday 19 April 2025, police arrested the 51-year-old man in Millthorpe.

He was taken to Bathurst Police Station and charged with two counts of possess child abuse material, and person possesses bestiality material.

The man was refused bail and appeared at Parramatta Local Court on Sunday 20 April 2025, where he was formally refused bail to appear at Bathurst Local Court tomorrow (Wednesday 23 April 2025).
