Police Charge Men After Burglaries Across Melbourne

Brimbank Burglary Reduction Team detectives, along with and Brimbank Crime Investigation Unit detectives, have charged two men following a spate of burglaries across Melbourne this month.

Police will allege the pair gained access to a luxury car dealership on Swan Street, Richmond about 5.30pm on Monday, 27 May.

The men allegedly stole sets of car keys and a 1984 model Ferrari, before fleeing the scene.

It is alleged the pair also gained entry to a residence in Church Street, Keilor about 12.40pm on 28 May.

Officers have been told the pair allegedly stole a number of items, including car keys, cash, jewellery and a coin collection.

The pair attempted to flee the scene but were arrested by police a short time later.

Police will allege the pair were involved in other burglaries in Melbourne, including:

• 9.30pm to 10pm, 5 of May on Brighton Road, in St Kilda

• 1am and 8am, 7 of May on Beaconsfield Parade, Albert Park

• 3am to 8.15am on 6 of May on Hambleton Street, Middle Park

• 2am on10 May on Station Street, Port Melbourne

• 3.25pm on 11 May on Bay Street, Port Melbourne

• 11.30pm on 11 May on Dow Street, Port Melbourne

• 12.40pm on 12 May on Barkly Street, Port Melbourne

• 11.50pm on 13 May on Kinane Street, Brighton

• 11.55pm on 14 May on Kinane Street, Brighton

• 4.40am on 15 May on Bay Street, Port Melbourne

• 8am on 15 May on Normanby Road, South Melbourne

• 1.12am on 16 May on Lalor Street, Port Melbourne

• 5pm to 5.50pm on 16 May on Swan Street, Footscray

• 12am to 4am on 18 May on Bradwell Street, Kealba

• 9.30am on 19 May on Gilson Place, Sunshine

• 6.45am on 20 May on Bridge Street, Port Melbourne

• 6.50am on 22 May on Cambridge Street, Port Melbourne

• 12pm on 23 May on McGrath Close, Kealba

• 2am on 24 May 2024 on Bradwell Street, Kealba

• 12.40pm on 28 of May on Church Street, Keilor

A 36-year-old Port Melbourne man has been charged with offences including aggravated burglary and burglary.

He was bailed to appear before Sunshine Magistrates' Court on 29 August.

A 26-year-old Seaford man has been charged with 60 offences, including:

Aggravated burglary

Theft

Theft from motor vehicle

Theft of motor vehicle

Obtaining property by deception and

Going equipped to steal

He has been remanded to appear before the Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 14 of June 2024.
