Police Charge Pair After Brighton East Drug Seizure

Caulfield Divisional Response Unit officers have charged a man and a woman after allegedly seizing drugs and weapons from a property in Brighton East on Thursday 21 November.

Investigators attended the Centre Road property to execute a search warrant just before 7am.

It is alleged a man and a woman were attempting to dispose of a quantity of drugs when police forced entry into the premises.

Police arrested the duo and allegedly seized over 1kg of GHB, along with a quantity of methylamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, and cannabis.

Officers also allegedly seized an extendable baton, knives, and over $2000 worth of cash.

A 40-year-old Brighton East man has been charged with traffick GHB, traffick methylamphetamine, trafficking cannabis, traffick heroin, traffick MDMA, possess prohibited weapons and proceeds of crime.

He was bailed to appear at the Moorabbin Magistrate's Court on 4 February 2025.

A 28-year-old St Kilda woman was charged with possess cannabis, possess GHB and fail to answer bail.

She was remanded to appear at the Moorabbin Magistrate's Court on 21 November.
