Police Charge Six After Assault In Fraser Rise

Melton Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged six children after an assault in Fraser Rise.

The arrests were made after a 16-year-old boy suffered a stab wound to his arm at a bus stop on 22 August about 3.10pm.

Officers executed search warrants today which saw the six arrested at multiple properties across the suburbs of Deanside, Hoppers Crossing and Keilor.

Officers seized property items including alleged prescription medications, cannabis, alleged weapons and money.

A 15-year-old Deanside boy has been charged with affray, armed with criminal intent, theft of motor vehicle and possess controlled weapon without excuse.

A 17-year-old Deanside boy has been charged with affray and theft of motor vehicle.

A 17-year-old Hoppers Crossing boy has been charged with affray, armed with criminal intent, theft of motor vehicle, possess controlled weapon without excuse, possess and traffic cannabis.

A 15-year-old Hoppers Crossing boy has been charged with affray, theft of motor vehicle, possess and traffic cannabis.

A 15-year-old Keilor boy has been charged and bailed with offences including affray, theft of motor vehicle, possess prohibited weapon without approval, possess and traffic cannabis.

A 14-year-old Keilor boy has been charged and bailed with offences including theft of motor vehicle and fail to comply with direction under search warrant.

The six children have been bailed to attend a childrens' court at a later date.
