Police Charge Teen After Beach Brawl At Port Macquarie

A teenage boy has been charged as police investigate the circumstances of a brawl on the state's mid-north coast.

About 10pm on Saturday, 4 April 2025. Police were called to a beach on North Shore Drive, North Shore, following reports of a brawl.

On arrival, officers attached to Mid North Coast Police District were told between 60 and 100 youths had gathered for a party.

Following inquiries, about 8.00am on Friday 11 April 2025, police arrested a 16-year-old boy at Port Macquarie.

He was taken to Port Macquarie Police station where he was charged with three offences – affray, assault occasioning actual bodily harm in company and failing to comply with a digital electronic access order.

He was refused bail to appear in a children's court tomorrow (Saturday 12 April 2025)

Investigations into the incident continue and further arrests are anticipated.
