Police Charge Teen After Death Of Man In Kuranjang

Homicide Squad detectives have charged a teenage boy following the death of a man in Kurunjang last night.

Police were called to reports of a brawl between a group of people on McBurnie Drive, shortly after 7pm on Friday, 20 December.

On police arrival an injured male was located.

Despite the efforts of emergency services, an 18-year-old Kurunjang man died at the scene.

Two other males, a 22-year-old Harkness man and a 15-year-old Harkness boy, presented at hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The 15-year-old has subsequently been charged with murder and will face a children's court at a later date.

The 22-year-old remains in hospital under police guard.

It is believed the incident was targeted and the people involved are known to each other.
