Police Charge Teen After Search Warrant At Dubbo

A teenage boy has been charged and property seized following a search warrant at a home in the state's west today.

Officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District commenced an investigation following an alleged break and enter at a home on North Street, Dubbo, on Wednesday 6 November 2024.

Following inquiries, about 6.20am today (Tuesday 12 November 2024), a search warrant was executed at a home on Cooinda Crescent, Dubbo, by police attached to the Dubbo Proactive Crime Team and the Rural Crime Prevention Team, assisted by officers attached to the Western Operational Support Group.

A search of the property allegedly revealed several items of interest including mobile phones and illicit drugs. – all of which were seized.

A male occupant – aged 16 – was arrested and taken to Dubbo Police Station.

He was charged with aggravated break and enter dwelling in company steal and be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner.

He was refused bail and will appear before a children's court today (Tuesday 12 November 2024).
