Police Charge Teen Over Stabbing - Oran Park

A teenager will face court today charged over an alleged stabbing in Sydney's south-west overnight.

About 8pm (Tuesday 23 July 2024), emergency services were called to a carpark at Jack Brabham Reserve, Oran Park, following reports of an assault.

Officers attached to Camden Police Area Command located a 17-year-old boy with stab wounds to both hands.

He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.

Following inquiries, police arrested a 14-year-old boy at Narellan Police Station about 1.30am (Wednesday 24 July 2024).

He has been charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He has been refused bail to appear before a children's court today (Wednesday 24 July 2024).

Police will allege the boys are known to each other.
