Police Charge Teen With Property Offences At Taree

An 18-year-old has been charged following an ongoing investigation into numerous property-related offences in the Manning/Great Lakes Police District.

Detectives from Manning/Great Lakes Police District have been investigating numerous offences including aggravated break, enter and steal and stolen motor vehicles in the Taree area – with some offences allegedly dating back to October 2022.

Following inquiries, about 6.30am on Wednesday 22 January 2025, police arrested an 18-year-old man on Manning River Drive at Taree.

The man was taken to Taree Police Station where he was charged with 12 offences - aggravated break enter and steal (three counts), be carried in a conveyance (five counts), break enter and steal, malicious damage, armed with intent to commit an indictable offence, and possess prohibited drug.

He was refused bail to appear before a children's court today (Wednesday 22 January 2025), where he was formally refused bail, to appear before the same court on Thursday 6 February 2025.
