Police Charge Three After Dartmoor SES Burglary

Portland Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged three men following a spate of burglaries and theft from vehicles in Portland and Dartmoor last month.

Detectives executed a search warrant at a property in Edgar Street, Portland about 10am on 17 September.

Police recovered a number of allegedly stolen items during the search, including power tools, chainsaws, generators and fishing equipment.

Investigators will allege that some of the power tools were stolen from the Dartmoor SES building on 24 August.

Police also allegedly located a traffickable quantity of methamphetamine, cannabis and ecstasy at the property.

A 28-year-old man was arrested at the scene.

Detectives executed a second search warrant at a property in Dartmoor-Hamilton Road, Dartmoor about 10am on the 19 September.

During the search, police located more items belonging to the Dartmoor SES building.

Police also located an allegedly stolen trailer and what is suspected to be methamphetamine at the property.

A 56-year-old man was arrested at the scene.

The 28-year-old Portland man was charged with handle stolen goods, burglary and traffick methampehtamine.

The 36-year-old Portland women was charged with traffick methamphetamine and possession.

The 58-year-old Dartmoor man was charged with handle stolen goods and possess methamphetamine.

The trio were bailed to appear before the Portland Magistrates' Court on 26 November.
