Police Charge Three After Shepparton Home Invasion

Three men have been charged following a home invasion in Shepparton earlier this week.

It is alleged offenders forced entry to a property on Community Street about 5.15am on 21 October.

Two occupants of the house were allegedly assaulted.

A 41-year-old man and 33-year-old woman were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Shepparton Crime Investigation Unit detectives with the assistance of Special Operations Group attended a car wash in Kialla Lakes Drive, Kialla about 7.15pm on 24 October.

Three men were located in an allegedly stolen Toyota Hilux and were all taken into custody.

Officers located and seized seven firearms from the vehicle.

It is alleged four of the firearms as well as the Hilux were stolen from a burglary in Murchison and three from a burglary in Moama, both which occurred between 20 and 24 of October 2024.

A 19-year-old Shepparton man and an 18-year-old Mooroopna man have been charged with 16 offences including aggravated home invasion, use loaded firearm in a public place, prohibited person possess a firearm.

A 22-year-old Shepparton man has been charged with robbery, common assault, possess drug of dependence and theft of motor vehicle.

All three have been remanded to appear before Shepparton Magistrates' court on 25 October.
