Police Charge Three Men After Stabbing - Rookwood

Three men have been charged following an alleged stabbing in Rookwood.

About 1.50pm yesterday (Wednesday 14 August 2024), officers attached to Auburn Police Area Command were notified of reports a 26-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman had presented to Auburn Hospital with stab wounds.

The man was taken to another hospital for further treatment.

Police established a crime scene at Rookwood Cemetery, Rookwood and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident, with the assistance of Raptor Squad.

Following inquiries, three men – two aged 27 and one aged 26 – were arrested nearby and taken to Auburn Police Station.

The two 27-year-old men were charged with affray, while the 26-year-old man was charged with affray and custody of knife in public place.

All three were granted conditional bail to appear before Burwood Local Court on Thursday 19 September 2024.
