A man and two teenage boys will face court today, charged over two alleged break and enters and a pursuit in Sydney.
About 2am on Tuesday (4 March 2025), officers attached to St George Police Area Command commenced an investigation after two vehicles were allegedly stolen from a home in Sans Souci.
Police were told a group of unknown people allegedly broke into a home on Endeavour Street, Sans Souci, before allegedly stealing two Lexus sedans.
A crime scene was established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident commenced.
About 11.30am on Wednesday (5 March 2025), officers attached Liverpool City Police Area Command were called to Jack O'Sullivan Road, Moorebank, following reports of an abandoned vehicle.
The vehicle – believed to be one of the stolen Lexus sedans – was located and seized for forensic examination.
Just after 4.30am on Thursday (6 March 2025), officers attached to Ryde Police Area Command were called to a house on Champion Road, Tennyson Point, following reports of a break and enter.
Police were told the group allegedlly stole knives from the property before leaving.
A short time later, police were patrolling in Church Street, Rhodes, when they observed a Lexus sedan – believed to have been stolen from the Sans Souci home.
Police attempted to stop the vehicle and when it failed to stop as directed, a pursuit was initiated. The pursuit was terminated a short time later due to safety concerns.
The vehicle was located a short time alter on Meredith Avenue, Rhodes, where three occupants were seen exiting the vehicle.
Following a foot pursuit, three people – two teenage boys, aged 16 and 17, and an 18-year-old man – were arrested.
The teenage boys were taken to Gladesville Police Station, while the 18-year-old man was taken to Ryde Police Station.
The 16-year-old boy was charged with four counts of enter building/land with intent commit indictable offence, two counts of aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable offence, two counts of steal motor vehicle, two counts of enter vehicle or boat without consent of owner/occupier and breach of bail.
The 17-year-old boy was charged with aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable offence, be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner, possess prohibited drug, enter building/land with intent commit indictable offence and breach of bail.
The 18-year-old man was charged with aggravated break and enter commit serious indictable offence, be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner, carry cutting weapon upon apprehension and enter building/land with intent commit indictable offence.
The teenage boys were refused bail to face a children's court today (Friday 7 March 2025).
The 18-year-old man was refused bail to face Burwood Local Court today (Friday 7 March 2025).
