Police Charge Three People In Connection To Stealing Offences Committed Across Southern Tasmania

Taskforce Saturate officers have arrested and charged three people in relation to an ongoing series of thefts which have been occurring across Southern Tasmania since 21 August 2024.

Police charged:

  • a 24-year-old Glenorchy man with 24x stealing and 1x assault. He was detained to appear before the Hobart Magistrates Court today.
  • a 26-year-old Glenorchy woman with 8 x stealing and 1x unlawful possession. She was detained to appear before the Hobart Magistrates Court today.
  • a 29-year-old Glenorchy man with 1x stealing. He was bailed to appear at a later date.

Police will allege the total value of property stolen is estimated at $15,000. As a result of searches conducted, police have recovered approximately $3,000 of the allegedly stolen property.

The police investigation into the matters is ongoing, with police seeking information in relation to a silver Kia Rio hatchback registration C34LF and a fawn Toyota Camry sedan registration J42LN.
