Police Charge Two After Damage In Bendigo Area

Bendigo police have charged a man and woman after alleged damage was caused at multiple locations around Bendigo this month.

Police will allege the duo caused damage to multiple sites on 5 May, including:

• multiple statues and paintings at a museum on Bridge Street

• a cemetery on Holdsworth Road

• a cathedral on Short Street

• a temple on Sandhurst Town Road

• an RSL soldier memorial on Pall Mall,

• and Botanical Gardens on Napier Street.

A 43-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman from Seabrook have each been charged with (x7) criminal damage and were bailed to appear before Bendigo Magistrates' Court on 23 August.
