Police Charge Two After DRU Warrants

Officers from Caulfield Divisional Response Unit have charged a man and a woman after executing warrants in Caulfield North and Abbotsford on Wednesday.

Police attended an address in Sebastopol Street, Caulfield North about 6.30am on 13 November.

Once inside the property they arrested a 51-year-old man from Caulfield North and a 21-year-old woman from Abbotsford.

The property was searched and police located drugs, over $50,000, weapons and phones.

A short time later officers attended an address in Albert Street, Abbotsford and executed another search warrant.

As a result of the warrants the man and woman were charged with traffick commercial quantity of drug of dependence, traffick drug of dependence possess proceeds of crime, possess prohibited weapon and other charges.

They were remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court today.
