Police Charge Two After Goornong Crime Spree

Police have charged two men following a series of incidents in Goornong, Echuca and the surrounding areas yesterday.

A 34-year-old Kyabram man and a 33-year-old Kangaroo Flat man have each been charged with burglary, theft, theft of motor vehicle, assault related charges and possessing a firearm related item.

The pair are expected to front Bendigo Magistrates' court later today.

Police will allege the pair committed a theft of motor vehicle in Echuca, an attempted burglary and assault in Forestville and a ramming of a police vehicle in Rochester.

The two men, along with a 27-year-old Cranbourne woman and a 38-year-old Tatura woman were arrested at Rochester.

The women have been released and the investigation remains ongoing.
