Police charge two men after incident in Utakarra

Geraldton Detectives have charged two men after an incident at a home in Utakarra yesterday, 26 November 2020.

About 12.50pm police were called to a home on Clematis Crescent after reports of a disturbance. It is alleged an altercation occurred between two men who are known to each other.

During the incident it is alleged a 36-year-old man discharged a firearm and a 26-year-old man damaged CCTV cameras at the property.

Police conducted a search of the property and it is alleged they located and seized a homemade 410 zip gun, various rounds of ammunition, a replica pistol, a spud gun, a homemade stun gun and drug paraphernalia.

A 36-year-old man from Utakarra is due to appear in the Geraldton Magistrates Court today charged with:-

1 x Act likely to Endanger Health/Safety;

1 x Possess Unlicensed Firearm in Circumstances of Aggravation;

1 x Possess Unlicensed Firearm;

2 x Possess Unlicensed Ammunition;

2 x Possess Prohibited Weapon; and

1 x Possess Drug Paraphernalia.

A 26-year-old man from Utakarra is due to appear in the Geraldton Magistrates Court on 10 December 2020 charged with Criminal Damage.
