Police Charge Two Over Property Offences At Newcastle 4 April

A man and woman have been charged following an investigation into alleged property offences in the Newcastle and Lake Macquarie areas.

Between Sunday 2 February 2025 and Tuesday 1 April 2025, the Newcastle City Police District Proactive Crime Team investigated several property offences they believed were linked.

The offences are alleged to have occurred at a home in Wallsend, and businesses in Charlestown, Hamilton South, and Adamstown.

Items allegedly stolen include a mountain bike, power tools, dental implants, handbags, and personal cards and documents.

About 6.50am yesterday (Thursday 4 April 2025), officers executed a search warrant at a home on Davis Avenue, Wallsend.

A 41-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman were arrested and taken to Waratah Police Station.

The man was charged with two counts of aggravated break and enter dwelling etc in company steal, and breach of bail.

He was refused bail to appear before Newcastle Local Court yesterday, where he was formally refused bail to appear before the same court on Thursday 17 April 2025.

The woman was charged with four counts of aggravated break and enter dwelling etc in company steal.

She was refused bail to appear before Newcastle Local Court yesterday, where she was granted conditional bail to appear before the same court on Thursday 17 April 2025.
