A woman has been charged and will face Court following an assault on a bus in Sydney's east.
About 11.30am today (Saturday 22 March 2025), two women – aged 41 and 21 - allegedly became involved in an argument on a bus travelling along Anzac Parade, Maroubra.
As the bus approached a shopping centre on Bunnerong Road, Eastgardens, the older woman allegedly stabbed the younger woman with a pen.
A 34-year-old male passenger attempted to separate the woman where he was also allegedly stabbed with the pen.
Emergency services met the bus at the shopping centre where the 41-year-old female was arrested and taken to Maroubra Police Station.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the other woman at the scene before she was taken to Royal Prince Alfred with facial injuries.
The man suffered only minor injuries and did not require transportation to any medical facility.
None of the parties are known to one another.
The woman was charged with two counts of wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. She was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court tomorrow (Sunday 23 March 2025).
