Police Charge Woman After Crash - Earlwood

A woman has been charged following a car crash in Sydney's south west last night.

About 10.30pm (Monday 9 December 2024), police were told a 37-year-old woman was driving a black SUV in Earlwood when she was allegedly followed by another woman, aged 31, driving a black sedan.

The 37-year-old driver stopped and was approached by the 31-year-old woman who allegedly attempted to gain entry to her car and struck the window, resulting in the 37-year-old woman driving away.

The 31-year-old woman allegedly followed the SUV before crashing into it multiple times on Hamilton Avenue, Earlwood.

The 37-year-old woman was uninjured. She attended Kogarah Police Station where she reported the alleged incident to officers a short time later.

NSW Ambulance paramedics were called to Hamilton Avenue, Earlwood, and took the 31-year-old woman to St George Hospital for assessment.

Officers attached to Burwood Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

Upon her release from hospital, the 31-year-old woman was arrested and taken to Kogarah Police Station.

She has been charged with predatory driving and stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (domestic).

She was refused bail to appear before Sutherland Local Court tomorrow (Wednesday 11 December 2024).
