A woman will face court today charged following the fatal shooting of a man in the state's Southern Region overnight.
Emergency services were called to a home on Murrumbateman Road, Murrumbateman, about 10pm (Monday 9 August 2021), following reports a man had been shot.
On arrival, officers from The Hume Police District found a 52-year-old man suffering a fatal gunshot wound.
A crime scene was established, which was examined by specialist forensic police.
Detectives commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
A 52-year-old woman – who is known to the man - was arrested at the scene and taken to Yass Police Station.
Following inquiries, the woman was charged with murder (DV).
She was refused bail to appear at Goulburn Local Court today (Tuesday 10 August 2021).
