A woman will face court next month after an alleged glassing incident in the state's Central West last week.
About 11.35pm on Friday (5 November 2021), two separate groups were seated inside a pub in Narromine, when a verbal altercation broke out.
It is alleged that a woman threw a number of cans at the group before throwing a glass at a 22-year-old woman's head.
Staff contacted police who attended a short time later.
The 22-year-old woman was taken to Narromine Hospital for treatment to lacerations to her head and face.
Following enquiries, about 4.25pm yesterday (Sunday 7 November 2021), officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District arrested the 44-year-old woman at a home in Narromine.
She was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
The woman was given conditional bail to appear at Narromine Local Court on Tuesday 7 December 2021.
Orana Mid-Western Police District, Crime Manager, Detective Chief Inspector Denise Godden, urged the community to drink responsibly as summer approaches and gatherings with friends become more frequent.
"Police will continue proactive operations as the Summer Safe campaign continues across the region," Det Ch Insp Godden said.
"Summer Safe is a statewide high-visibility strategy which will focus policing resources on crime prevention, alcohol-related crime, anti-social behaviour and road safety."
