Police Charge Woman After Man Dies In Engadine

A woman has been charged after a man died in Sydney's south this morning.

About 3am today (Friday 7 June 2024), emergency services were called to a unit complex on the Old Princes Highway, Engadine, following reports of a man was found unresponsive.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a 36-year-old man; however, he died at the scene.

Officers attached to Sutherland Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced investigations surrounding the incident.

A 33-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and was taken to Sutherland Hospital for mandatory testing.

Upon her release from hospital, she was taken to Sutherland Police Station, where she was charged with dangerous driving occasioning death – drive under influence, owner not disclose identity of driver/passenger, negligent driving (occasioning death) and learner not accompanied by driver/police officer/ tester.

She was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court tomorrow, Saturday (8 June 2024).
