Police Charge Woman After Stabbing At Berry

A woman has been charged over an alleged stabbing on the South Coast yesterday.

About 7pm (Saturday 12 April 2025), emergency services were called to a home on Parker Crescent, Berry, following reports of a stabbing.

On arrival, officers attached to South Coast Police District found a 49-year-old man with a stab wound to his left arm.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Wollongong Hospital in a stable condition.

A knife was located nearby and seized for forensic examination.

Police established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Following inquiries, a 44-year-old woman, who is known to the man, was arrested at the scene, and taken to Nowra Police Station.

She was charged with reckless wounding (domestic violence) and refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court later today (Sunday 13 April 2025).
