A woman has faced court today, charged following an alleged stabbing in the state's central west yesterday.
About 6am yesterday (Tuesday 4 February 2025), officers attached to Chifley Police District were called to a home on Payne Close, Kelso, following reports a woman was allegedly assaulted.
Upon arrival, police found a 48-year-old woman with visible red marks and bruising.
About 11am Tuesday 4 February 2025, emergency services were called to a home on Mcmenamin Place, Kelso, following reports a man had been stabbed.
Officers arrived to find a 47-year-old man with lacerations to his torso. He was flown to a hospital in Sydney to undergo surgery.
Police established a crime scene at Payne Close, Kelso, where they arrested a 48-year-old woman.
She was taken to Bathurst Police Station where she was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The woman was refused bail and appeared in Bathurst Local Court today (Wednesday 5 February 2025), where she was granted conditional bail to appear in the same court on Wednesday 2 April 2025.
Police believe the 48-year-old woman and 47-year-old man are known to one another.
