A woman has been charged with property-related offences following an investigation into multiple alleged break and enters in the Tamworth area.
Between Monday 6 December and Wednesday 8 December 2021, three break-ins in the Manilla and Carrol areas were reported to officers attached to Oxley Police District.
An investigation commenced and as part of inquiries, officers executed a search warrant at a home on Quinn Street, Tamworth, about 2.20pm last Thursday (9 December 2021).
During the search, police seized cigarettes, tobacco and clothing, which underwent further examination. The home was unoccupied at the time.
Following further inquiries, Oxley Police District's Proactive Crime Team attended the Quinn Street home just after 12pm today (Thursday 16 December 2021), and arrested a 30-year-old woman, who was found hiding behind a door.
She was taken to Tamworth Police Station and charged with three counts of aggravated break and enter dwelling in company steal, be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner and receive property-theft serious indictable offence.
The Tamworth woman appeared at Tamworth Local Court today where she received conditional bail to reappear before the same court on Monday 17 January 2022.
Investigations are ongoing.
