A woman has been charged after a man was taken to a hospital with stab wounds in Sydney's west today.
About 1.15am today (Tuesday 8 April 2025), emergency services were called to a granny flat on Stafford Street, Penrith, following reports of an alleged stabbing.
On arrival, officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command located a 47-year-old man with stab wounds.
He was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A crime scene has been established and police commenced an investigation into the incident.
A short time later, police arrested a 29-year-old woman on Woodriff Street, Penrtih.
Inquiries alleged the man and woman are known to each other.
She was taken to Nepean Hospital for further assessment under police guard.
She was later taken to Penrith Police Station where she was charged with wound person intend to cause grievous bodily harm and possess prohibited drug.
She was refused bail to appear at Penrith Local Court tomorrow (Wednesday 9 April 2024).
