Police Continue To Search For Missing Teenager Leela

Police are continuing to search for and appeal for public assistance to help locate missing teenager Leela.

The 13-year-old was last seen leaving her home in Glen Iris at about 12pm on 31 August.

Investigators have since received information of a possible sighting of Leela at the 612 bus stop on Toorak Road in Glen Iris and are searching the surrounding area.

Police and family have concerns for her welfare due to her age, the length of time she has been missing and her disappearance being extremely out of character.

Leela is described as 150cm tall with a slim build, black hair and wears brown glasses.

She was last seen wearing a black t-shirt with "YABC" written on sleeves in red writing, black trousers and black New Balance runners with gold emblem/writing.

It is understood Leela does not have her mobile phone or access to money.

Police have released further images of Leela and the t-shirt she was last seen wearing in the hope that someone can provide information on her current whereabouts.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Camberwell Police Station on 9882 0688.
