Police Hunt Clues in Alice Springs Aggravated Robbery 3 January

The Northern Territory Police Force is calling for information after an aggravated robbery occurred in Alice Springs overnight.

At 9.55pm, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received reports of three males armed with a blunt weapon attempting to unlawfully enter a residence with four occupants inside on Hillside Gardens in Desert Springs.

The offenders gained access through the front door and allegedly approached a 9-year-old child inside the property, demanding car keys while rummaging through drawers.

The child ran upstairs and alerted his mother who demanded the offenders leave. The offenders allegedly broke windows at the front of the residence with the blunt weapon before fleeing the scene with unknown items stolen.

No injuries were reported to police and the offenders remain outstanding.
