Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to multiple vehicles that were stolen in Alice Springs yesterday and overnight.
At 12.30am this morning, a grey Toyota Landcruiser Prado was first observed swerving in its lane attempting to allegedly collide with a police vehicle on Railway Terrace. The Prado was not reported stolen at the time.
A short time later, the occupants of the Prado allegedly threw rocks at another police vehicle that was stationary at a service centre on the Stuart Highway in Alice Springs. The driver's window of the police vehicle was smashed. Police members were not in the vehicle at the time and did not suffer any injuries.
Around 12.50am, a white MG was reported stolen from a residence in the Gap and was observed travelling with the Prado and a Subaru XV that had previously been reported stolen from a residence in Gillen yesterday.
At 1.00am, the occupants of the Prado allegedly threw rocks at another police vehicle on the Ross Highway. The police vehicle sustained a shattered rear passenger window as a result. The police members did not suffer any injuries.
The white MG was recovered by members of Strike Force Viper around 1.10am after it was abandoned on Lovegrove Drive.
The Subaru was located and recovered by general duties and members of Strike Force Viper after it was found abandoned on Bloomfield Street.
The Prado has subsequently been confirmed as stolen and remains outstanding along with the unknown offenders.
