Police Hunt Clues in Armidale Leg Stabbing

Police area appealing for public assistance after a man was stabbed at Armidale yesterday.

Officers attached to New England Police District were called to a hospital about 9pm (Saturday 8 March 2025), after a man had presented with a stab wound in his leg.

Officers were told a 20-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy were walking on Kennedy Street, Armidale, when they were approached by a group of men, before the man was stabbed and assaulted.

The boy was not injured.

Initial inquiries indicate the group of about eight were known to the man.

Police are urging anyone with information or dashcam vision to call police.
