Police Hunt Clues in Katherine Aggravated Robbery

Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to an aggravated robbery that occurred in Katherine early this morning.

Around 4:55am, police received a report that a group of youths wearing face coverings allegedly unlawfully entered a service station on Katherine Terrace. Two of the offenders were armed with edged weapons and stole the cash register and cigarettes before fleeing on foot.

The service station employee was able to lock himself in an office for safety.

A short time later, police attended, and a crime scene was established.

Investigations remain ongoing.

Detectives urge anyone with information about the incident to contact police on 131 444.
