Police Hunt Clues in Katherine Aggravated Burglary 18 February

The Northern Territory Police Force is calling for information after an aggravated burglary occurred in Katherine East.

Around 8:30am, police received a report that an armoury at a government facility had been unlawfully entered by unknown offenders.

Inside the armoury, the offenders allegedly stole a gun safe containing a large quantity of .22 calibre rounds of ammunition, approximately 40 tranquiliser darts, which did not contain the chemical compound, a significant amount of .308 calibre rounds, and 500 buckshot.

No firearms were reported stolen.

A crime scene was established, and investigations are ongoing.
