Police are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a business in Port Macquarie at the weekend.
About 6.45pm on Saturday 8 March 2025, police were called to a tobacconist on Horton Street, Port Macquarie, following reports of an armed robbery.
At the scene, police were told a man entered the store armed with knife before assaulting a staff member and leaving with cash and tobacco products.
The staff member – a woman aged 39 – went to Port Macquarie Hospital where she was treated for bruising to her head and chest.
A crime scene was established, and officers attached to Mid North Coast Police District commenced investigations into the incident.
As investigations continue, police are hoping to speak to a man who may be able to assist officers with their inquiries.
The man is described as being of Aboriginal appearance, of thin build, and was last seen wearing a large fluorescent yellow rain jacket and riding a bicycle towards Hayward Street.
