Police Hunt Leads in Katherine Burglary Case

Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to an aggravated burglary that occurred in Katherine on Saturday.

Around 11.50am, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received a report of an unlawful entry at a residence in Gregory Street, Katherine East.

The 43-year-old female occupant advised that a male unknown to her, wearing a hoodie and a face mask, had broken into her home using a screwdriver.

The offender allegedly stole cash from her purse before fleeing the area.

Police attended and located the alleged screwdriver a short distance away.
