Police are appealing for public information after a multiple break and enters in the Wollongong area.
Officers attached to Wollongong Police District have commenced investigations following multiple reports of businesses and homes broken into in Woonona.
- About 2.20am on Sunday (26 January 2025), two unknown men broke into a café on Park Road, Woonona, where they stole an amount of cash and left the scene.
- About 1.30am on Saturday (25 January 2025), an unknown person broke into a house on Pendlebury Parade, Woonona. No items have been reported stolen at this stage.
- Sometime between 11pm on Friday (24 January 2025) and 6.30am on Saturday (25 January 2025), a grey Mitsubishi Ute was stolen from an property on Beach Drive, Woonona. About 1.20pm on Sunday (26 January 2025), police located the vehicle abandoned on Campbell Street, Woonona. The vehicle was seized for forensic analysis.
- Sometime before 6.30am on Saturday (24 January 2025), an unknown person broke into a house on Campbell Street, Woonona, where they stole a wallet, mobile phone, ID cards and house keys.
- Sometime between 3.30pm on Friday (24 January 2025) and 6am on Saturday (25 January 2025), an amount of cash was stolen from a café on Princes Highway, Woonona.
Following inquiries, police believe the five incidents are related.
