Police Hunt Stolen Car Clues in Alice Springs 14 April

The Northern Territory Police Force is calling for information in relation to a vehicle that was stolen this morning in Alice Springs.

At 10:25am, police received a report of a robbery resulting in a motor vehicle being stolen in Gillen.

It is alleged that while three males were working at a residential unit block on Bloomfield Street, three male offenders allegedly armed with a knife approached them, threatened them and demanded the keys to one of their vehicles.

The offenders subsequently stole the vehicle and fled the scene. The victims followed in a separate car and witnessed the stolen vehicle roll over at the intersection of the Stuart Highway and Tanami Road.

The three male offenders fled west on foot into nearby scrubland and currently remain outstanding.

Police subsequently received reports from a nearby property of a vehicle being stolen.

Members from Strike Force Viper, the Dog Operations Unit and general duties were deployed, and investigations remain ongoing.
