Police Hunt Tips on Dangerous Driving in Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to a dangerous driving incident that occurred in Alice Springs on Saturday.

Around 5.30pm, the Joint Emergency Services Communications Centre (JESCC) received multiple reports of a blue Holden Commodore driving dangerously in the Alice Springs CBD. The vehicle was occupied by a group of youths and is not believed to have been stolen.

A 38-year-old male was allegedly struck by a rock thrown out of the car by the occupants. He received medical treatment as a result.

Police developed a resolution strategy involving tyre deflation devices; however, the vehicle fled the area upon sighting police and the offenders remain outstanding.
