Police Hunt Tips on Stolen Cars in Alice Springs 8 November

Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to multiple stolen motor vehicles from Alice Springs overnight.

Three vehicles were allegedly stolen from residences from Larapinta, Eastside, and Braitling during the evening, with all three sighted driving dangerously in the CBD throughout the night.

Occupants of the stolen vehicles allegedly targeted police by throwing rocks at two separate police vehicles. One vehicle sustained a damaged front windscreen and the second sustained a broken passenger window. No police member was injured during the incidents.

Police also received reports of civilian vehicles being damaged by the offenders.

Two of the stolen motor vehicles have since been recovered after being abandoned. A blue Nissan Micra remains outstanding along with the unknown offenders.
