Police Hunt Witnesses in Alice Springs Robbery

Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses in relation to an aggravated robbery that occurred in Alice Springs on Saturday.

Sometime between 3.30am - 4am on Saturday 14 December, two unknown male offenders allegedly approached a woman riding her bike west along the Larapinta Drive bike path near the intersection of Zeil Street.

The offenders have allegedly pulled the victim from her bike and demanded money before attempting to steal her bag containing personal belongings. The victim proceeded to flee the area on foot to nearby Bokhara Street with the offenders allegedly pursuing her attempting to take the bag.

At the intersection of Bokhara Street and Engoordina Drive the offenders have allegedly assaulted the victim, resulting in her falling to the ground, and they fled the area with the bag.

Police are interested in speaking to the driver of a white utility believed to have driven past at the time of the alleged robbery.
