Police Investigate After Shots Fired At Richmond Store

Yarra Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance after shots were fired at a business in Richmond during the early hours of this morning.

Investigators have been told five shots were fired into the store on Swan Street about 3.10am.

Fortunately, no one was inside the store at the time of the incident.

Detectives have released CCTV footage showing a blue Subaru WRX which was involved in the matter.

That vehicle was found burnt out near the intersection of Colville and Two Mile roads in Moe later this morning about 6am.

It is believed the Subaru was stolen from Pakenham on 30 July.

Investigators are keen to speak with witnesses that may have been in the area or may have seen the vehicle at the time.
