Bayside Sex Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team detectives are investigating a sexual assault at an event in South Melbourne earlier this month.
It is understood a teenage girl was attending a sporting event at Albert Park when she was sexually assaulted by an unknown man on Saturday, 15 February about 5.45pm.
Investigators have released an image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their investigation.
He is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance, is approximately 185cm tall and is of solid build with a brown beard.
He was seen wearing sunglasses with large lenses and a blue floral shirt.
