Police investigate armed robbery at Crestmead

Police are investigating the armed robbery of a tobacco store in Crestmead last night.

Around 10.40pm a man entered the Waratah Drive store and threatened the male attendant with a sharp implement and demanded money.

The man moved to behind the counter and removed the till draw containing cash.

He then fled the store and was seen to get into the passenger's side front seat of a small, dark coloured SUV parked in Quandong Street before the vehicle drove off.

The attendant was not physically injured.

The man is described as Caucasian in appearance, 175cms tall, dark coloured eyes with a medium build. He was wearing a black balaclava, grey long sleeve shirt, blue jeans and sneakers.
